Ian Ray Hampson holds a degree in landscape architecture and currently works in Manhattan.

Ian has experience designing at a diverse set of scales from master planning to small residential sites. As a practitioner, Ian focuses on the sensible conceptualization of outdoor space with a balanced approach to materials use and rational forms. He also has a special interest in land-use policy as it impacts development patterns and social attitudes across the United States.

He has a keen interest in politics, philosophy and the social sciences having also received a minor in sociology and community/regional planning. This has been the basis for past exhibits of large scale video projections as well as other forms of installations.
